Like Coconut Cake?

Like Coconut Cake?

If you love coconut cake as much as I do, let me suggest this luscious combo from Nugget.  It's the Angel Coconut Cake, featuring a white cake with a hint of rum, toasted organic coconut flakes and whipped topping, but... with the crushed pineapple filling, which is the standard filling in the Slice of the Islands Coconut Cake.   You have to special order this, because it's a combination of two separate cakes.  Got that?  Let's review, it's the Angel Coconut Cake, but w/ the Pineapple Filling, a lovely addition to any Mother's Day or birthday celebration.  Yum!

Pet owners get financial break

Sacramento and Yolo County pet owners can now apply to have their pets spayed or neutered for just $20 per dog and $15 per cat as part of “Spay Day Sacramento” on March 6.  This is a savings of 90 percent or more on this routine, but important veterinary procedure.  Spaying or neutering dogs and cats leads to better health and improved behavior and reduces the number of animals entering area shelters.

Qualifying pet owners must be either Sacramento or Yolo County residents and have an annual household income of $35,000 or less.  There is a 2 animal (dog and/or cat) limit per household.  Proof of income will be required.
