Bean & Barrel opening soon in Washington District

West Sacramento’s newest restaurant is scheduled to open in late February. Bean & Barrel is located on 3rd st. across the new Burgers & Brew Station 1 in West Sacramento, the latest great new addition to the Washington District.

Bean & Barrel will be serving coffee, wine and delicious food from locally sourced providers.

18 local restaurants offer discounts to Museum Day participants on 2/4!

In addition to the 26 museums participating in the 2017 Sacramento Museum Day on February 4 by offering free or half-priced admission, 18 local restaurants are also extending special offers and discounts to participants. The 19th Annual Sacramento Museum Day is presented by Sutter Health and Bank of America, and coordinated by the Sacramento Association of Museums (SAM) and Visit Sacramento. Most museums will offer free admission whereas two destinations located in residential areas -- the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town -- will offer half-priced admission to offset parking and traffic control costs.

Ribbon cutting for Burgers and Brew at firehouse

The historic Washington Firehouse on 3rd street will open as a Burgers and Brew early next week.  That announcement was made today, as Mayor Christopher Cabaldon, Council members, project staff, along with D & S Development and Burgers and Brew owners celebrated with a ribbon cutting.

In addition, the Foundation is pleased to welcome Merchants National Bank – one of the oldest, locally owned and independent banks in Sacramento -- as the presenting sponsor for the 2016 Farm-to-Fork Cocktail Train.
