Midtown Farmers Market heats up in May with summer on the way

With summer just around the corner, the Midtown Association (MA) is pleased to announce exciting special activities happening in May at the popular and thriving Midtown Farmers Market. Proudly sponsored by Sutter Health, the Midtown Farmers Market offers up to 90 farmer, grower and vendor booths bursting with fresh fruit, produce, and gourmet or locally made goods each week.  The year-round market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 20th Street from J Street to Kayak Alley.*  

In addition to a convenient bike valet – perfectly timed for National Bike Month in May and presented in partnership with Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates – guests to the Midtown Farmers Market can enjoy the following:

Known for their commitment to quality and offering unparalleled dining experiences, Harvego Restaurant Group (HRG) is celebrating the season by opening Ten22’s spectacular Garden Patio on Thursday, April 27 and The Firehouse’s award-winning Courtyard on Friday, April 28, 2017.

To make the outdoor dining seasonal openings even more appealing, the popular restaurants are offering specials – in addition to their normal lunch menus – that include the following:

Ten22
Known for its welcoming ambiance and focus on locally sourced ingredients, Ten22 is offering an Opening Day Garden Patio two-person special on Thursday, April 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. that includes a Caesar salad, house-made pizza to share and two mouth-watering desserts for only $25. Additionally, Ten22 offers 24 draft beers and an impressive wine list for interested guests. Advance reservations are suggested.

Midtown Farmers Market gets growing along with new season launch on April 1

The Midtown Association (MA) is pleased to announce the launch of the new spring season of the Midtown Farmers Market that will expand a half-block in size to accommodate up to 90 farmer, grower and vendor booths bursting with fresh fruit, produce, and gourmet or locally made goods each week. Proudly sponsored by Sutter Health, the Midtown Farmers Market will take place on 20th Street as usual but will extend from J Street to Kayak Alley effective April 1, 2017.  Open year-round on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.*, the Market fluctuates in size by a half-block depending on the seasons and time of year.

A few new season highlights during the month of April include the return of the bike valet in partnership with Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates along with the following:
April 1 at 11 a.m. – Chef Demo Rick Mahan, Chef/Owner of the Waterboy with an enter-to-win raffle prize opportunity
