Police investigate 2 in fuel theft in West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA - Police continue to investigate after 2,297 gallons of stolen were found in connection to two young men.

J-Uan Parker, 18, and Raynard Dotes Jr., 19, both of Sacramento, were arrested Saturday on the 1200 block of Cebrian Street after West Sacramento police responded to a fuel theft call, said Lt. Scott McCartney.

The Parker and Raynard were found in a van with 497 gallons of fuel. The suspects were booked into Yolo County jail for burglary and grand theft, said McCartney. Both suspects were released on bail.

On Thursday, police served a search warrant at a location on the 600 block of Galveston Street. Police seized about 1,800 gallons of stolen fuel.

Police believe the suspects stole about $9,900 worth of fuel, said McCartney.
