Railroad Museum encourages interested volunteers to attend special open house on January 14

Fascinated by railroading history? Interested in working with trains? California State Parks, the California State Railroad Museum and Old Sacramento State Historic Park (SHP) are now recruiting adults (18 or older) who are interested in volunteering to help communicate the West’s fascinating heritage of railroading and the California Gold Rush. For those interested, a special, drop-in Volunteer Open House is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Stanford Gallery located at 111 I Street in Old Sacramento (next door to the California State Railroad Museum).

West Sacramento receives awards for barn project and economic development

 

 

The City received the Greater Sacramento Area Economic Council’s ( GSAC) inaugural “Paving the Way” award recognizing a public agency for “Exceptional Economic Development Results” at the GSAC annual dinner on December 7.  The City’s Business Assistance and Infrastructure Investment were cited in remarks by GSAC during the award presentation which was accepted by Mayor Christopher Cabaldon.

Our events are FREE for all makes and models of cars, trucks and motorcycles..RAIN or SHINE.

This is a continuation of our annual Fundraiser for Horse Plus Humanity.Org in Newcastle.

 Direct Donations will be accepted, or gift cards from Tractor Supply or VISA.   

We will be going to Barn Burner for Breakfast and then a drive Horse Plus Humane, following event.
