Firehouse Restaurant Announces Two New Hires

The Firehouse Restaurant recently announced two new additions to its Special Events team.

Bringing more than 20 years of management experience to his new position as special events director at The Firehouse, Frank Carney has worked for a number of restaurants throughout Northern California.  His work experience includes time as the manager of Rio City Café, general manager of Grapes Dining & Spirits, general manager of Paragary’s Bar & Oven and general manager of the High Steaks Steakhouse at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.  Most recently, Carney worked as the general manager and director of beverage for Lounge ON20 before joining The Firehouse team.

“I like to bring a hands-on approach to management and event planning, which I think fits perfectly with The Firehouse’s style,” Carney said.  “It’s all about the guest experience, and I am excited to be able to do what I love while showcasing the restaurant and Old Sacramento.”

Randy Bowling, a graduate of Virginia’s Radford University and Mrs. Hancock’s Etiquette Training Program in Arizona, was just promoted to the position of special events manager.  Bowling brings with him a combined six years of restaurant management, training and sales experience, and has worked as a special events lead server at The Firehouse since November.  His past work experience includes various positions at Sal’s, Longhorn Steakhouse and Ted Turner’s Montana Grill in Philadelphia, The Capital Grille in Scottsdale, and The Melting Pot here in Sacramento.

The addition of Carney and Bowling will bolster The Firehouse’s Special Events team, which already includes Special Events Sales Coordinator Lisa Runnels.
