New Zodiac calendar changes after 13th sign added

SACRAMENTO, CA - Astronomers created quite a stir for astrologers when they pointed out current Zodiac signs are out of date, and could be off by up to a month.

Astronomer's said the Earth's axis doesn't rotate in the same direction all the time; it actually "wobbles" back and forth. The wobble caused a shift on the view of the constellations since they were first charted by the Babylonians 2,000 years ago.

"Everybody needs something to believe in and you know, why not?" Amateur Astronomer Walter Heiges said. "I could tell you every day, this is what's going to happen and if it happens, I'm a hero. If it doesn't happen, well, I screwed up today."

The new Zodiac calendar would add a 13th sign, Ophichus. Ophichus was originally abandoned by the Babylonians because they only wanted 12.

The new Zodiac:
Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18- May 13
Taurus: May 13- June 21
Gemini: June 21- July 20
Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20

This is the order of the new Sidereal Zodiac, which is fixed to the constellations. Astrologers said as westerners, we use the tropical zodiac, tied to the seasons, which means nothing has changed.
